Kalabandhu Kalaparishad is a non-profit organization established in 1986. We work for the cause of poor and needy people in various Mandals of the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. We focus on the areas of social, economic, health, educational, and cultural activities. We work with disadvantaged women, youth, children, and farmers.

Our organization undertakes this important activity of income generation nature for the benefit of poor women living in rural areas. This year also 42 women/young women were selected and trained in embroidery and embroidery skills in Jari and Jadousi work, cutting and swinging of clothes.

We conducted an awareness camp on Covid 19 at Town Model School, Kodumur, Kurnool district. COVID-19 is a pandemic (as declared by WHO) and its spread is a threatening reality worldwide. We have to accept that we will have to live with this for another year or so - perhaps with less threat after the discovery of a vaccine. Until then, there is always a need to 'protect ourselves - from ourselves'. (i) Educate people about personal safety. (ii) health, sanitation and WASH (iii) prevention and protection against communicable diseases. (iv) self-restraint and responsibility. (v) Washable and re-usable masks so that they are protected. (vi) Protective measures to keep their hands clean and safe against germs/especially against corona virus. (vii) We involve local doctors/chemists in this program. (viii) The program is fundamentally oriented towards promoting safety measures among people. We have distributed masks and sanitizers in many villages of Kurnool.
We conducted an environmental awareness campaign on “Fighting Desertification, Land Degradation and Drought” at Tagore English Medium School, Kodumuru Mandal, Kurnool District. Women in our service sector are facing many problems in society and at home. Therefore, we organized an awareness program on women's issues in Kodumuri. Resource persons from various fields like lawyers, public prosecutors, social workers, women activists, etc. explained the solution to women's problems. Gave guidance and advice. They are able to face their own problems and participate and seek welfare and development. The program was held in Kodumuru Mandal of Kurnool district.
Our society conducted an agricultural awareness program in 2 villages of Kodumuru Mandal of Kurnool district. The program was conducted in the surrounding villages with the cooperation of Agriculture and Forest Department officials keeping in mind the ecologically balanced development. The forest staff explained about the importance of trees and their protection, which are important for the survival of all living things in the world. With the help of well-wishers and our volunteers, some trees are planted in the areas of Kodumuru Mandal.
